This place is actually really really good they get you seen QUICK if need be and either treat you on spot or send you to a larger hospital ms Yolanda and JB always are super nice miss angie too NIKKI is nasty and has an attitude with the patients but everyone else is cool but head Id recommend going here first or ur real sick nearby if it just hit the med center

I do not recommend this ER.
Came in multiple times with actual emergencies, including a CSF leak, and had to wait multiple hours before getting any kind of care. Asked for a stretcher to lie down and all we got was dismissal and refusal

I had a medical procedure conducted in this section of Memorial Hermann/UT Health. The nursing staff of Jincy, Nisha, and Linda were exceptionally helpful and supportive during my treatment. The doctors and PA teams were professional, proficient and knowledgeable. Their bedside care was very thorough and knowledgeable along with a great deal of caring for patients. Highly recommend this facility for those that require medical assistance and expertise in this particular field of care.

Herman Memorial I came here thinking the best would be the best for me and my situation. Brilliant doctors and staff but you all failed me. You forgot about patient care. You all got so wrapped up with the science and diagnosis the fixing of me you forgot that the human spirit is very fragile. I appreciate y'all tried to do but I must say country folk don't belong there. We don't fit in
You failed me my daughter and my son because your fancy degrees shiney tools and machines mean nothing when you have made someone feel they are nothing more than a bother. An extra human suffering in pain way hung dozens come and go while for 16 hours laid at the end of a small recliner my lab wouldn't even fit or want to be in. Everyone has a breaking point don't forget and you all broke me.i train medical service animals that maybe one day could have saved you or a family member. Now I just want to go home and let go. Call hospice if I need. It's not worth what I feel in that my spirit is not worth your hospitality. Thank you for trying I just don't fit in. I explained over and over my needs I was very clear what I would do if my needs were met. Simple put a small town who will keep me comfortable and out of pain might not be ideal and a road to death but at least my mind my soul my heart and my comfort is all in check and if I am to go I go gracefully and not by way ashamement and embarrassment. Don't forget us country people have big hearts we will do anything for anyone and while I do wanted to believe you all felt the same way at the end of 16 hours I no longer did. God bless you all. You save lives everyday just today it's not mine.

My wife delivered our first baby in Memorial Hermann (Memorial City) and I want to share our experience to provide insights for other future mothers. While the nursing team and my wife’s OBGYN are outstanding, our delivery experience was profoundly damaged by the on-call OBGYN, Dr. Fangxian Lu, whose appalling conduct and unprofessionalism warrant serious warning.

I want to start off the review on the positives. My wife's OBGYN, Dr. Blancas, is attentive, sharp, and superb in articulating her thoughts/reasoning. From anasthesiology, Dr. Martinez, was the one who corrected my wife's epidural placement and successfully managed her pain during induced labor contractions. The nursing staff were angels on earth that provided excellent care and great advocates for their patients. All the nurses were fantastic. Specifically, I want to highlight the following people by their respective units:

-Labor & delivery: Ashley, Alejandra, and Rebekah.
-Post-partum: Summer, Aliece, Kimmy.
-Lactation: Mimoza.

I cannot stress enough our gratitude to nurse Ashley who effectively delivered our son without other staff. She's a bit tough but genuinely the best nurse in care of my wife. We are indebted to her, as well as the others named above.

The negatives. My wife's scheduled induced labor was delayed by 8 hours due to bed shortages. Her epidural needle was installed (3) times by (2) different anesthesiologists before ultimately getting the lasting pain management relief; (4) if you count a needle readjustment. Finally, once she was finally dilated and ready to push for delivery, an on-call OBGYN had to step in since my wife's dedicated OBGYN hours had since passed (though she tried to stay as late as she could).

The on-call OBGYN, Dr. Fangxian Lu, has to be one of the absolute worst doctors imaginable to be residing in the practice of Labor & Delivery who regularly attends to expecting mothers. If you are in her care, I warn you to reconsider, and if she ends up covering for your OBGYN - avoid at all costs. She lacked empathy, bedside manners, and was openly rude. At first meeting, we chalked it up to personality differences but it became evident that it was not that. She openly mocked and discouraged my wife through facial expressions, exasperations, and rude comments. One that comes to mind is belittling her efforts to push, and saying a cough could push the baby further out than her current efforts. Mind you, it was only minutes into pushing her first baby, as well experiencing numbing from the epirdural. She did not provide constructive inputs for supporting my wife push. The tension in the room amongst the staff (e.g., nurses and techs) was palpable. Dr. Fangxian Lu made also made a comment of other things she had to attend to as the on-call OBGYN, and she proceeded to collect the staff out the room. Our nurse Ashley was left with us in the room to push the baby out. In hindsight, it might've also been a saving grace that Dr. Lu left, since it allowed for Ashley to take the lead and coach/encourage my wife through the delivery; something Dr Lu could not do. Ashley successfully delivered our son, with Dr. Lu and staff arriving just in time to see it. After delivery, we were privy to Dr. Lu's communication with the staff and thought some conversations were inappropriate in front of the patient, specifically issues with the operation (e.g., forgetting something, indiscreet comments, etc.). I write this review to hopefully inform others to avoiding this nightmare my wife went through. A nightmare that persists after returning home. A nightmare that she's reminded of when looking at our son's birth certificate.

On my most recent visit, I thought I was having a LONG panic attack or a heart issue related to another diagnosis and let them know upon arrival. "I don't want you to think I'm being dramatic but it's like my body is screaming that I'm about to die" were my exact words when the doctor came in. I got very prompt attention. Turns out I had a pulmonary embolism. On this visit and previous visits, I have appreciated that doctors and nurses treat me with care and respect in spite of me being a "frequent flier" due to chronic illness, which is something I run into with healthcare providers on a semi-regular basis. Can't recommend this care center enough!

I am submitting this complaint because of a series of administrative failures at Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center that caused me significant emotional distress, financial risk, and disruption to my medical care.

For weeks leading up to my surgery, I repeatedly contacted Memorial Hermann to notify staff that my insurance had changed. My previous plan through Harris County (Aetna) was being cancelled, and I had transitioned to Oscar. I provided my updated group number, policy information, and made it explicitly clear that Aetna must not be billed under any circumstances. Each time I called, I was told the information was updated.

On the day of my surgery — after completing all required pre‑operative preparations, fasting, arranging transportation, missing work, and mentally preparing for the procedure — I arrived only to be told that none of my updated insurance information was on file. Not only was my insurance incorrect, but even my mother’s information was wrong. The entire registration was a mess.

This was not a small oversight. I drive for Uber, and the stress of this situation has pushed me into counseling. I have been juggling work, medical appointments, insurance changes, and surgery prep. I trusted Memorial Hermann to handle the administrative side correctly, especially after I called multiple times to confirm. Instead, I was blindsided at the worst possible moment.

Because of these errors, my surgery was jeopardized, my time was wasted, and my mental health suffered. I am requesting a formal review of how my information was mishandled, why my repeated calls were ignored, and what steps Memorial Hermann will take to ensure this does not happen to another patient.

I expect follow‑up from Patient Relations and documentation of the investigation into this incident.

My husband was hospitalized and never had the chance to return home – what a cruel fate! Even the doctor treating him said to the patient, "He can't live much longer, his condition isn't improving, when will your family come?", while I, his wife, was by his side. One thing needs to be understood: even if it's true, one shouldn't say it bluntly because a strong spirit is more powerful than any medicine from a doctor who has forgotten their conscience and is blinded by the truth. ICU 924 🙏
